Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport (BLQ) is an international airport serving the city of Bologna and surrounding areas. It is approximately 6 km (3.7 miles) northwest of the town-centre in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy, about 200 km (120 miles) south-east of Milan. The airport is named after Bologna native Guglielmo Marconi, an Italian electrical engineer and Nobel laureate. With over 7 million passengers handled in 2016, it is now the 7th busiest in Italy.
There are a wide variety of useful facilities such as cash machines and currency exchange services, VIP lounges, shopping outlets and cafés and restaurants and children’s play area, baby changing areas and a lost property office.
