Airport information
Carcassonne/Salvaza airport is located on the outskirts of the city, around 2km from the centre, Carcassonne Airport services the south France, specifically the Languedoc-Roussillon region.
The airport has only been running flights regularly from about 2006 so it is relatively small, made up of 2 buildings for arrivals and departures. There is a restaurant/bar and a small shop serving local produce located in the departures hall. But there is currently no duty free shopping, cash points or currency exchanges so best to arrive with cash already. There is also Free Wifi and an information desk, the airport is compact and easy to navigate so you shouldn’t have an issue location your driver on arrival.
