Devil’s Head
A short drive north of Nuweiba, is an exhilarating drop off for the intermediate diver. If you prefer to snorkel then this site is one of the best in town due to the lushness of its coral life.
Ras Abu Galum Protected Area
South of Nuweiba, has some very interesting and unspoilt dive sites. Imagine the pleasure of scuba diving in a remote isolated natural reserve where only jeeps and camels can arrive!
El Magana
At El Magana you can experience 2 dives. The first takes you along the left side wall where the reef drops to 35 metres. There is a break in the coral plate which forms a canyon, you can swim through at a depth of around 20-25m. For your second dive head along the coral reef plate. Both sites have large fish and plenty of healthy corals. The reefs are mainly hard corals and if you are lucky you will be able to spot Napoleons, Barracudas and Seahorses.
Rock Sea
Access Rock Sea by a short snorkel over the reef table. Descend 20 metres where you will follow the sandy slope and coral garden. The amazing drop off allows you to dive over 30 metres. Spot the schools of Basslets, Angelfish and various groupers. The caverns and fissures in the reef wall are outstanding with a covering of soft and hard corals.
